Cricket Auction App for IPL-Style Auctions
Run a professional IPL-style player auction for your local tournament. Real-time bidding, automatic budget tracking, and projector-ready big-screen mode.
Built specifically for amateur Indian cricket — corporate leagues, society tournaments, college festivals, and friends-group box cricket.
Why run a player auction?
A pre-tournament player auction transforms a friendly cricket match into a real event. Captains have to think about budget, balance, and risk; players sit at the edge of their seats waiting to hear their name; the entire tournament gets a story before the first ball is bowled.
CricBid digitises every part of that experience. There is no whiteboard, no spreadsheet, no shouting matches over who bid first. Team owners bid from their phones. The auctioneer's screen shows the current player, the highest bid, and the bidder's remaining budget. When SOLD is hammered, the player's photo flips onto the buying team's squad card instantly.
The same platform then continues into the tournament itself. The teams you build in the auction are the teams that play in the matches you score, and the players you bid on appear in the player profile pages with stats from every match they play. One platform, one player record, one source of truth.
Features that make every bid count
Eight years of building auction software, distilled into a single fast UI.
Real-time Bidding
Low-latency bidding room. Team owners place bids from their phones; the auctioneer screen updates in under 150 ms.
Budget Management
Automatic purse tracking. Remaining budget, max-bid, and minimum-slots-required calculations refresh after every sale.
Squad Building
Each team sees its live squad with roles, batting/bowling balance, and remaining budget per slot.
Big Screen Display
Projector-ready LED layout for the venue. Player photo, base price, current bid, team logos — all in 1080p.
Customisable Categories
Group players by Marquee, A, B, C, Uncapped, etc. Each category can have its own base price and sequence.
Anti-Cheat Locks
Server-side bid validation prevents two teams accidentally winning the same player; rollbacks if a connection drops mid-bid.
Unsold Re-Auction
End-of-round unsold players can be queued for a second round automatically — same rule as the IPL.
Pause & Resume
Pause mid-auction (toilet break, dispute, dinner). State is persisted; resume on the same device or a different one without losing a single bid.

Built for the auctions you actually run
Corporate Tournaments
Inter-departmental cricket leagues use CricBid auctions to keep team budgets fair and competitive. Companies have run 8-team auctions with 80+ player pools in under 90 minutes.
Apartment / Society Cricket
Building a fair team mix in a residential cricket league. Set the rule "every team must have one woman player" or "at least two players over 40" and the auction enforces it.
College Festivals
Inter-college cricket tournaments with a captain-and-coin-toss draft are slower and less engaging than a live auction. CricBid runs a full 60-player auction in one evening.
Friends-Group Tournaments
Box cricket among friends with a stakes-based auction. Use virtual currency or real money pools — the platform handles the logic, you handle the rules.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need separate auction software and scoring software?
No. CricBid is a single platform — auction, scoring, leaderboard, and tournament management share the same player and team records.
Can team owners bid from their phones?
Yes. Each captain logs in on their phone, sees their remaining budget, and taps to bid. The auctioneer screen aggregates bids in real time.
What about unsold players?
Unsold players go to a second round at a reduced base price (configurable). After round two, they remain unsold or can be assigned manually.
Can I run a silent auction?
Yes. Sealed-bid mode reveals all bids only after a player closes. Useful for friendly tournaments where no one wants to look stingy live.
How are ties resolved?
Highest-bid timestamp wins. If two bids land within 100 ms of each other, the auctioneer manually selects.
Does it support player auctions and team-based auctions?
Both. Player-by-player (IPL-style) and reverse-auction (team buys multiple players in a draft window) are both supported.
