CricBid is an Indian sports-technology platform for cricket tournament management and player drafts. It lets you conduct IPL-style player draft sessions, manage teams and budgets, score matches live ball-by-ball, track points tables, and share public tournament pages โ€” all in one place. It is built for gully cricket, corporate leagues, city T20 tournaments, and everything in between. CricBid is a 100% skill-based platform with no gambling, betting, or wagering of any kind.

A

To organise a tournament or participate in a player draft as a team manager, you need a CricBid account (free to create with your Indian mobile number via OTP). Fans and spectators can view public tournament pages โ€” teams, scores, points table, gallery โ€” without any account.

A

Sign up with your mobile number, go to your Dashboard, click "New Tournament", fill in the details (name, city, format, overs, start date), add teams and players, configure draft settings, then launch the player draft session. The step-by-step guide helps you get started in minutes.

A

No. CricBid is an independent technology platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Indian Premier League (IPL), or any state cricket association. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Players are presented for selection one by one. A countdown timer starts (configurable, default 30 seconds). Team managers can submit selection offers in increments set by the organiser. The team with the highest offer when the timer runs out selects the player. CricBid automatically validates offers against each team's allocated budget points and enforces increment rules. This is a private, organisational tool โ€” not a form of gambling or wagering.

A

Yes! Team managers can participate in the player draft from the CricBid Android app or any browser on a smartphone or laptop. They see the current player profile, live selection status, and a countdown timer in real time, and can submit a selection with a single tap.

A

Unselected players are moved to an unselected pool. The organiser can re-present them for selection at any time or manually assign them to a team. There is no restriction on how many times a player can be put back for selection.

A

Yes. When registering players, you can set a base value (e.g., 500, 1000). No team can submit an offer below the base value. You can also set global increment rules (e.g., offers below 1000 go up in 100 steps; above 3000 in 500 steps). These are virtual budget points used purely for the organisational draft process.

A

Open the match from your tournament dashboard, complete the toss, select the playing XI for both teams, and start scoring ball by ball. For each ball, select runs scored, extras (wide, no-ball, byes, leg-byes), and wicket type if applicable. The scorecard, partnership, and fall of wickets update instantly.

A

CricBid supports T10, T20, T30, One Day (50 overs), and fully custom formats. You can set the number of overs, balls per over, players per side, and powerplay rules.

A
